On 5 October, the Regional Business Forum organised by Roadshow Polska was held at the Conference Centre of Sheraton Hotel, Sopot.
The presentation by Andrzej Arendarski, BCB’s CEO, entitled ‘Chances and Barriers of Entrepreneurship in Poland and region’, aroused great interest among the participants. Mr Arendarski emphasised many a time the numerous strengths of Pomerania vs. other regions. The discussion panel attracted great interest and was participated by: Ryszard Świlski (Member of the Pomeranian Voivodeship Board), Adam Protasiuk (President of the Pomeranian Regional Economic Chamber), Henryk Stasiński (President of the ‘Free Entrepreneurship’ Association in Gdańsk), Teresa Blacharska (Treasurer of the City of Gdańsk), Tomasz Banel (Head of the Economic Policy and Real Property Department of the Gdynia City Office), Andrzej Gliński (Member of Millennium Bank Board), and Grzegorz Maliszewski (Chief Economist of Millennium Bank). Much attention was paid to the issues of education and the preparation of future graduates to work in business and in other areas.
The Forum ended with a presentation entitled ‘BCB Business Park – We are creating a friendly climate for your business’ by Aleksandra Piotrowska, representative of the Baltic Business Centre.
